Lunugamwehera national Park Morning Safari

A morning safari in Lunugamwehera starts at dawn, when the cool temperatures and soft morning light encourage animal activity. Elephants are often seen roaming the open grasslands and near water sources, while other animals, such as sambar deer, spotted deer, and wild boar, can also be observed. Early mornings are also an ideal time for birdwatching, with species such as the Sri Lanka grey hornbill, painted stork, and white-bellied sea eagle making frequent appearances. Morning safaris typically end by mid-morning, offering a refreshing and peaceful start to the day in this tranquil park.
