We have just experienced three fantastic weeks exploring Sri Lanka with the travel company “Back Of Beyond”. They coordinated our trip & included all our requests. We stayed at their accommodation as follows.
1. Jungle Hideaway, Pidurangala (Tree Houses). A unique experience waking in the canopy where we could hear and see the monkeys in the adjacent trees. Staff excellent & meals beautifully presented and delicious.
2. Weir House, Kandy. A beautiful home where we were totally spoilt by Maha & his staff and the meals were amazing.The cooking class was lots of fun and very informative.
3. “Dune camp” at Yala. Tented accommodation was very comfy and the outdoor showers were a treat. Be prepared to get some sand between your toes. Walking the dunes and deciphering the animal tracks. was a great experience. Again staff and food outstanding. Only a stones throw from Yala National Park where we had a magnificent leopard experience.
4. Wellness retreat at Kahandamodara. Most relaxing and fishing charter with a local fisherman using his basic gear quite an experience. Again staff and meals quite amazing and local masseur excellent. Our driver was outstanding and The Toyota 12 seater bus met the needs of our four passengers. “Back Of Beyond” organised our many excursions and 5 safaris plus local guides & all were excellent. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Yohan, Shasheen, and their team. We most highly recommend “Back Of Beyond” to assist you to explore the beautiful country of Sri Lanka and it’s warm & gentle people.

Our overall tour was excellent!
Our overall tour was excellent! Ayesh was highly knowledgeable, and his communication skills were outstanding. We were very satisfied with the itinerary, and all the hotels were good, except for one. The highlights of our trip were Sigiriya, the safari at Minneriya National Park, and experiencing delicious local food and street food. We traveled in a Honda Vezel throughout the trip, which was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend Back of Beyond Travels to fellow travelers!
